Overview

Mechanical lead Engineer



Responsibilities

Design & Development
o Design and develop mechanical systems and components for rolling stock( Interior and Sanitary )
o Prepare and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
o Ensure compliance with railway standards such as RDSO, EN, and UIC.
 Project Management
o Support project execution from concept to commissioning.
o Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
o Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and documentation.
 Documentation & Reporting
o Prepare technical documentation such as design reports, test plans, and inspection checklists.
o Maintain configuration management and revision control of design files.



Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).



Essential skills

Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in CAD software ( SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD).
o Knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, HyperMesh) preferred.
o Understanding of railway mechanical systems and standards.
o Familiarity with material selection, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
o Project coordination and vendor management experience.



Experience

8–10 years in railway / rolling stock / heavy engineering industry.
