Our client is an award-winning strategy & technology consulting firm with a dominant presence in Southeast Asia.

They are seeking an accomplished SAP Solutions Architect with extensive experience in SAP architecture and solution design. The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise architecture expertise, preferably within complex and highly regulated industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, or government infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in driving digital transformation, ensuring the alignment of SAP systems with broader business and technology strategies.

Please note that this is a PERMANENT position open to candidates residing in Southeast Asia or nearby countries only.

RELOCATION to Brunei is required for at least the first 6 months on the job. Partial remote arrangement will be possible thereafter.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and deliver end-to-end SAP solution architectures across business units, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and long-term IT strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and develop scalable SAP solutions tailored to industry-specific needs.
  • Architect solutions for complex environments including SAP S/4HANA migrations, system integrations, and hybrid cloud landscapes.
  • Lead SAP technical governance efforts, including design reviews, standards enforcement, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee architectural decisions during key transformation programs across industries with high compliance and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and system interoperability.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and industry solutions like SAP for Oil & Gas, IS-Pharma, or Public Sector.
  • Document solution designs, architecture blueprints, and integration strategies.
  • Stay informed on SAP innovations and best practices, and advise on their relevance to ongoing or future projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least years of SAP solution design and architecture experience, including at least 5 years in an enterprise or lead architect role.
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF (certification preferred).
  • Proven experience delivering SAP solutions in oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or government/public sector environments.
  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA and legacy ECC environments, with the ability to guide migration and modernization efforts.
  • Solid grasp of integration patterns, middleware (SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite), and enterprise systems interoperability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
  • Experience working with compliance-heavy and security-conscious environments.
  • SAP and TOGAF certifications are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
