AM / DM - Warehouse (API Unit)

Role & responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations including receipt, storage, dispensing, issue, and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure proper material identification, status labeling (Approved / Quarantine / Rejected), and segregation.
• Monitor and control warehouse temperature, humidity, and pest control as per SOPs.
• Ensure FEFO/FIFO compliance in all material movements.
• Maintain real-time stock accuracy in ERP (SAP / Oracle / Navision / relevant system).

2. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all operations comply with cGMP, GDP, and company SOPs.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (e.g., USFDA, EDQM, WHO, MHRA).
• Review and approve warehouse-related SOPs, checklists, and logbooks.
• Ensure proper documentation for material receipt, storage, and dispatch as per GDP standards.

3. Inventory Management

• Conduct periodic stock reconciliation (daily / monthly / annual physical verification).
• Minimize non-moving, expired, or damaged inventory.
• Monitor safety stock levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams for replenishment.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead and train warehouse staff and contract workforce on GMP, safety, and warehouse practices.
• Allocate manpower effectively across shifts to ensure smooth operations.

5. Safety, Security & 5S

• Ensure safe material handling, PPE compliance, and adherence to EHS guidelines.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain 5S and lean practices for warehouse efficiency and cleanliness.

6. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with QA, Production, Purchase, and Planning teams for material movement and status updates.
• Liaise with transporters and logistics partners for timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
