  • Architect - Data Migration
  • Roles and Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a Data Modeler responsible for analyzing, mapping, and replicating existing data structures from our current source systems into a newly designed data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and ETL schema alignment to ensure seamless migration and structural consistency between source and target systems.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing source data storage (Data warehouse, data lakes, or operational systems) to understand schema, relationships, and constraints.
  • Design and implement data models in the target data warehouse (E.g. Snowflakes, Azure Synapse etc.)
  • Ensure structural consistency and maintain data lineage between source and target systems
  • Experience in Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Support schema validation, key constraint checks, and referential integrity across source-to-target mappings.
  • Proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory, Snowflakes/Databrick.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and DDL scripting for schema design and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for metadata and lineage tracking.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD deployment of data models and scripts.
  • Knowledge of modern data lake house architectures.
  • Exposure to Power BI data models and DAX fundamentals.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Basic scripting in Python or PowerShell for automation of schema validation or metadata extraction.
