Preferred candidate profile

  • AWS to GCP Migration Architect to lead enterprise-level cloud migration initiatives, ensuring a secure, scalable, cost-effective, and seamless transition across platforms.
  • The role involves defining and executing end-to-end migration strategies, performing discovery and assessment of existing AWS environments, conducting gap analyses, mapping services (e.g., EC2Compute Engine, S3Cloud Storage, RDS–Cloud SQL/Spanner, EKS–GKE), and determining optimal migration approaches such as rehost, replatform, or refactor.
  • The candidate will design and document target GCP architectures covering VPC networks, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cloud IAM, and replication solutions, incorporating best practices for resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, and observability (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging).
  • The architect will guide engineering teams during migration execution, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or Deployment Manager, and integrate DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
  • They will also define and enforce GCP security best practices—strong IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance alignment—while driving FinOps strategies for cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational stability.
  • The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, including 4+ years in cloud solutions/migration, with hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch, EKS/ECS, Lambda) and GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL/Spanner, VPC, Cloud IAM, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery), along with strong Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, and database migration skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage both technical and business stakeholders are essential.
  • Preferred qualifications include Google Cloud Professional Architect and AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certifications, with additional experience in multi-cloud governs.
