THE OPPORTUNITY

We count on our IT team to work in close alignment with all internal business units to provide excellent IT support and solutions to our global user community and on-site support in the Bengaluru office. As the Endpoint Engineer for Xactly, you will be part of a team that are responsible for Xactly's infrastructure environments including but not limited to, system administration, cloud administration, automation, patching and maintenance of infrastructure. It is critical that this person is proactive in their troubleshooting methods and is an excellent communicator with the other engineers on the team including the team based in Denver, CO USA. You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related corporate infrastructure. In addition, you will provide overlap support for local servers and clients to the system administrators.

The technology landscape is evolving, and the person in this role participates in technical research and development to enable innovation. This person will work closely with other administrators on the Infrastructure team to ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to the Vision of Xactly as set out by the VP of IT and the IT Manager. You may also take on projects and be responsible for all phases, including definition, analysis, design, build, testing and change management. THE SKILL SET

5+ years experience with the following:

Managing macOS, iOS and iPadOS devices with Jamf Pro MDM

• Enrolment
• Patching
• New Deployments
• Architecting

Apple Business Manager, Apple Enterprise

Managing Windows devices with Microsoft Intune

• Enrollment
• Patching
• New Deployments
• Architecting

Scripting automations for workflows in the context of endpoints

Zsh (macOs)

Powershell (Windows)

Working in corporate IT environments (as opposed to something like dev ops)

Hands-on experience implementing/troubleshooting on-prem IT infrastructure/hardware

• Printers
• Zoom Room (viewboards)
• Security Cameras (Milestone/Axis)

Identity Provider Administration / Cloud Administration for IT tech stack

• Okta, Google, Entra ID
• SSO, SCIM
• SentinelOne, Code42, Jira Service Desk

Ability to work with international teams.

Excellent customer service, time management, communication and organizational skills.

Able to problem solve, be proactive, take the initiative, and work with little guidance.

Leverage open source tools to solve problems

RESPONSIBILITIES

Endpoint & MDM Architecture (Jamf Specialization):

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Jamf, demonstrating deep architectural knowledge of the platform.
• Understand the current Jamf infrastructure and architecture, proactively identifying, proposing and driving innovations and efficiencies in MDM strategies.
• Responsible for the end-to-end management of all company endpoints and the Jamf MDM solution.
• Design, implement, and optimize Jamf policies, profiles, and packages for various macOS and iOS devices.

Security Engineering & MDM:

• Possess a strong understanding of the security aspects of MDM, with the capability to think from a security perspective.
• Identify, propose, and drive innovations and efficiencies in the security space specifically concerning MDM and critical applications utilized within Xactly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex security-related issues within the endpoint and MDM environment.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across all managed devices.

Identity & Access Management (Okta):

• Administer and manage our Okta environment, including building and integrating new workflows.
• Design and implement Okta integrations with various applications, ensuring secure and efficient user access.
• Troubleshoot Okta-related authentication, authorization, and provisioning issues.

Google Workspace Administration:

• Provide expert administration and support for Google Workspace, including user management, security settings, and service configuration.
• Optimize Google Workspace usage and troubleshoot related issues.

Automation & Scripting:

• Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation, advanced configurations, and handling unique or complex scenarios not covered by built-in MDM features.
• (Good to have) Experience with Python and AppleScript for enhanced automation capabilities.

Operational Excellence:

• Monitor endpoint performance, health, and compliance
• Develop and maintain documentation for all endpoint and identity systems configurations and processes.
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure alignment and consistency across the IT landscape.

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL

• Build strong working relationships with the IT, Infra, and global teams.
• Get hands-on experience and become familiar with our Jamf infrastructure, MDM, and other critical
• applications.
• Understand existing MDM policies, security configurations, and key automations (e.g., existing Bash scripts).
• Begin to independently troubleshoot routine endpoint, identity, and access issues.

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex issues related to Jamf, Okta, and Google
• Workspace.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the security posture of our MDM and endpoint environments.
• Propose and begin to implement optimizations for Jamf policies, profiles, or packages.
• Develop new Bash scripts or modify existing ones to automate a repetitive task or handle a unique scenario.
• Be able to document a key system or process to improve team knowledge and operational efficiency.

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end management of our Jamf MDM solution, driving strategic
• improvements and innovations.
• Present and execute a plan to enhance MDM security, such as implementing new security policies or hardening device configurations.
• Lead a project to improve endpoint health, performance, or compliance across the organization.
• Make strategic recommendations for processes and technologies to ensure the long-term scalability and security of our endpoint and identity systems.
