Interise is hiring AM/DM-Maintenance, For a highway project in WATL

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overall management of highways, roads, and related infrastructure within the assigned jurisdiction. This role ensures that roadways are safe, functional, and in good condition for public use while managing a team of maintenance staff and coordinating with other departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Management:

  2. Manage and supervise a team of maintenance workers, equipment operators, and support staff.

  3. Assign tasks, schedule work, and monitor performance to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance activities.

  4. Provide training, guidance, and support to staff.

  5. Maintenance and Repairs:

  6. Oversee routine and emergency maintenance of highways, including pothole repairs, road resurfacing, and drainage management.

  7. Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of roadways and infrastructure.

  8. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for specialized repairs and construction projects.

  9. Planning and Coordination:

  10. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and work plans.

  11. Coordinate with local government agencies, utility companies, and other stakeholders to manage road closures, detours, and traffic control during maintenance activities.

  12. Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance projects and equipment procurement.

  13. Safety and Compliance:

  14. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards.

  15. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards or compliance issues.

  16. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and safety incidents.

  17. Reporting and Communication:

  18. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, project status, and budget expenditures.

  19. Communicate effectively with the public, addressing concerns and providing updates on road conditions and maintenance schedules.
  20. Attend meetings and provide input on long-term planning and infrastructure improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering,
  • Strong knowledge of highway maintenance practices, safety regulations, and relevant software tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
