Tech Lead

The Advisor Technology Solutions team creates exceptional experiences for our clients and advisors, enabled through technology and rooted in our enterprise strategy. We bring a strategic, enterprise viewpoint to deliver interconnected end-to-end experiences, bridging the gap between business strategy and its successful execution, and assuring delivery of desired business outcomes.

This role will participate on agile teams responsible for delivering new solutions and key capability improvements to our customers. This role will be a liaison between business architects, designers, product owners, and technology, identifying product requirements, translating to user stories, and conducting user acceptance testing to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnering with product and business owners, develops, refines, and documents requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for prioritized feature development.
• Participates in agile scrum team ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint retrospectives, and demos.
• Advocates a customer-centric culture. Lead by example by being an advocate for the Customer Experience across the organization.
• Assists with system design in partnership with engineering teams ensuring the design meets the business needs and user experience
• Performs user acceptance and regression testing.
• Assists in identifying potential solutions for the business and provide input to issues or risks.
• Identify project interdependencies and communicate requirement/scope issues and participate in driving them to resolution for inclusion in system requirements.
• Develop expertise in all systems, processes and data relating to the assigned business or project.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technology teams and business partners at management and end user levels. Educate business partners on systems capabilities and the feasibility of developing specific solutions. Work effectively in a team environment to ensure that solution delivery is on time, within cost estimates and meets business needs.
• Liaison / conduit between the business (internal and external), technical organization, PMO, and operational areas. Obtain stakeholder buy-in and support for responsible initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of hands-on experience with software applications as Business Systems Analyst
• Experience working on Agile delivery
• Proficient with tools like Jira, Confluence, Word, Excel and Visio, etc
• Knowledge of Requirement collection and User Story logic (experience working in Jira is a plus)
• Experience in creating and maintaining backlog
• Experience working with stakeholders across many functions
• Excellent Communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the financial services industry or other similar, highly regulated environment.
