Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Chargeback Quality Analyst to support the quality assurance function within the chargeback operations team. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency in dispute handling for Australian card transactions, in alignment with local regulatory standards and card network rules (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality audits on chargeback cases to ensure compliance with Australian card scheme rules and internal policies.
  • Review dispute documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to representment guidelines.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and collaborate with operations teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Track and report quality metrics such as documentation accuracy, compliance adherence, and dispute resolution outcomes.
  • Support training initiatives by sharing audit findings and best practices with chargeback analysts.
  • Stay updated on changes in card network regulations and Australian financial compliance standards.
  • Assist in refining SOPs and quality checklists based on audit insights and regulatory updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations) to ensure alignment on quality standards.
  • Participate in system testing and enhancements related to dispute workflows and quality controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 38 years of experience in chargeback operations, dispute resolution with minimum of 1 year in quality assurance within card processing.
  • Strong understanding of Australian card scheme rules and dispute handling procedures.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visa Resolve Online, Ethoca, Verifi, and internal chargeback platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
