We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Professional to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance for heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans and inspection procedures (Hydro, pneumatic, painting, pickling, PMI, Hardness, Ferrite, etc) for heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, TEMA, API, PED, and other applicable codes.
  • Understanding various client specifications, extracting the required information, making checklists of all critical points for procedures, TDC, ITP.
  • Review and approval of sub vendor QAP for bought outs.
  • Basic knowledge of various destructive and Non-Destructive testing with reference testing code / standard and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections, including visual, dimensional, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) evaluations.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve material test certificates at incoming stage of material, welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records (WQR).
  • Oversee pressure testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic) and ensure all safety and quality parameters are met.
  • Liaise with third-party inspection agencies, auditors, and clients for quality approvals and certifications.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective/preventive action reports.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence of defects.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ASME U Stamp, etc.).
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, or similar heavy engineering products.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME Sec VIII, ASME Sec IX, TEMA, API, PED, and ISO 9001.
  • Hands-on experience with NDT methods such as RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT.
