Job Description

  • Corporate Management: Function as head of department, reporting to the management and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement high-level, long-term strategies for coal exploration, development, production, and distribution to achieve corporate objectives and growth.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the company's mining activities across all subsidiaries and mine sites, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Business Development: Identify potential business opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and investments, to expand the company's market position.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the corporation's budgetary and financial activities, including investment planning, cost control, and resource allocation to maximize profitability.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's operations adhere to all statutory and regulatory guidelines, particularly those related to mining, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Strong relationships with stakeholders, including government ministries, regulatory bodies like the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), investors, and local communities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial statements, performance indicators, and sales reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Talent Management: Appoint, manage, and motivate senior management and departmental heads. Ensure the company has effective succession plans for key leadership positions.
  • Sustainability and ESG: Guide the company in adopting sustainable practices and leveraging technology to minimize environmental impact and meet sustainability reporting frameworks.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech Mining with 1st Class Mines Manager Certificate highly advantageous.
  • Experience: Significant 15-20 years senior-level management experience is required, preferably within the coal mining industry.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of implementing and executing corporate strategy effectively.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic planning abilities, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and deep knowledge of mining technologies and regulations.
