Role Overview

As a Senior Solution Architect at EPAM, you will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, leading the design of large-scale, modern solutions that align with business strategy. You will combine strong technical expertise with consulting and leadership skills, influencing decisions at the highest levels while guiding delivery teams to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design

• Lead the design of end-to-end enterprise solutions across cloud, data, AI/GenAI, application, and integration landscapes.

• Define technology roadmaps, architecture blueprints, and patterns aligned with client needs and EPAM best practices.

• Drive innovation through modern paradigms such as cloud-native, microservices, serverless, event-driven, API-led, and GenAI-powered architectures.

• Hands-On Technical Leadership

• Roll up your sleeves to write code, build prototypes, and validate architectural approaches.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in design, coding, DevOps, security, and responsible AI.

• Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

• Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with CXO-level stakeholders to understand strategic goals and translate them into actionable technology solutions.

• Act as a trusted consultant, simplifying complex technology and AI concepts into clear business value discussions.

• Support pre-sales activities including solution proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentations.

• Delivery & Collaboration

• Provide architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle.

• Collaborate with EPAMs global delivery teams, ensuring alignment between client expectations and delivery execution.
• Mentor and grow talent within EPAM, especially in cloud, data, and AI/GenAI solutioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and architecture roles.
• Strong technical depth with hands-on expertise in at least one programming language (Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
• Proven experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise architecture patterns.
• Solid understanding of system integration, scalability, performance engineering, and security.
• Experience designing or integrating AI/GenAI solutions (e.g., LLMs, vector databases, RAG, conversational AI, MLOps, prompt engineering).
• Track record of engaging senior business and technology stakeholders, with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
• Experience in IT services or consulting environments, leading distributed global delivery teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with AI/GenAI platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Hugging Face).
• Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, ethics, and compliance.
• Thought leadership through blogs, conference talks, or whitepapers in AI/GenAI.
