  • 12 yrsJob Summary :We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Manager with strong proficiency in SQL to oversee and manage our organizations database systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases, while also supporting development and data analytics teams with effective data strategies. Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust SQL-based databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers.
  • Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency.
  • Implement database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage database access, permissions, and security policies.
  • Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and optimal data architecture.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, standards, and policies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest database technologies, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Manager, Database Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational database management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with database tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of database security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Masters degree or MBA from a reputed institution.
  • Certification in SQL/database technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
