About the Opportunity

An on-site testing role supporting product engineering efforts for a fast-moving software development organization. You will own verification activities across feature deliveries, work closely with developers and product owners, and help raise the bar for quality by contributing to test strategy, execution, and defect prevention.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for new features and releases.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing across web and API interfaces to identify functional and UX issues.
  • Create and run automated test scripts (Selenium/WebDriver or equivalent) to accelerate regression coverage.
  • Log, triage, and track defects using JIRA; collaborate with developers to drive root-cause resolution.
  • Validate backend data and workflows using SQL queries and API tests to ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, provide test estimates, and enforce quality gates for production deployments.
Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2+ years experience in software QA or test engineering (on-site) with hands-on manual testing.
  • Proven experience with test case design, exploratory testing, and defect lifecycle management (JIRA).
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium/WebDriver and basic scripting to maintain regression suites.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools and validating responses.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data verification across environments.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Exposure to CI/CD test automation pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) and automated test reporting.
  • Familiarity with performance or security testing basics, and mobile/web cross-browser testing.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and basic Linux command-line usage.
