We are looking for a dedicated and energetic candidate for Gastroenterology Technician position.

Required Qualification - Bachelor's on OT Technology, Bachelor's/ Diploma in Endoscopy Technology

Required Experience - 5 to 6 Years in Hospital

Roles and Responsibilities :

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling and managing the appointments for various investigations.
• Attending the patients with due care and concern.
• Preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures been carried out.
• Counseling the patient properly before starting any procedure by providing relevant information about the procedure.
• Responsible for recording patient data and relevant medical history.
• Responsible for assisting the doctor while reporting the procedure; setting the equipments parameters.
• Responsible for monitoring the patient before, during and after the procedure.
• Recording the images/ graph or film for later receive by the doctor.
• Recording the doctors comment upon the graph/image and prepare reports and get it cross checked by the consultant.

Stock and Register:

• Responsible for monitoring the following records properly:
• Department record registers.
• Report dispatch book.
• Stock and Inventory register.
• Department Complaint registers.
• Maintenance records Logbook, history cards, AMC, PMC, Calibration record.
• Incident report daily.
• Daily report.

Reporting:

• Report on monthly basis to NS for-
• Monthly scrap data.
• No. of procedures done.
• No. of cases.
• No. of referral cases.
• No. of incidents/events.

Maintain Records & Equipments:

• Responsible for smooth functioning of Gastroenterology Unit and maintaining discipline in the department.
• Ensure vaccination of each technical staff against Hepatitis B and maintain records.
• Ensure a high level of cleanliness in the department. Maintain asepsis in the department.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per rules.
• Responsible for maintaining the required stocks and inventories of life saving drugs and equipments, other consumables and drugs.
• Check proper availability of required stationery.
• Ensure guidelines laid in Infection Control Manual are followed to prevent Hospital Acquired Infection.
• Bio medical engineering department in case of any break down.
• Maintain the record of maintenance (Preventive or Breakdown) of all equipments in the department.
