Job Title: Senior Accountant Manager

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. The role involves preparing and analysing financial statements, managing audits, leading a team of accountants, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making — excluding GST-related work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide a team of accountants and accounting assistants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage general ledger accounting and ensure timely posting of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll accounting processes.
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (excluding GST) and internal accounting controls.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as required.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely completion of internal and external audits.
  • Generate MIS and other management-level financial reports for strategic decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, TDS, payroll, and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
