Role Description

We are looking for a talented
Electrical Design Engineer
to join our team in
Puducherry
.

This is a
full-time, on-site
position responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, preparing technical drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review
    electrical design drawings
    ,
    single-line diagrams (SLD)
    ,
    schematics
    , and
    layouts
    using AutoCAD.
  • Perform
    load calculations
    ,
    cable sizing
    ,
    short-circuit
    , and
    voltage drop analyses
    .
  • Design and select
    lighting systems, earthing systems, cable trays, and power distribution systems
    .
  • Prepare
    Material Take-Offs (MTOs)
    and
    Bill of Materials (BOMs)
    as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate with
    clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
    for design alignment and compliance.
  • Review and approve
    vendor documents
    and
    datasheets
    .
  • Ensure all designs comply with
    international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.)
    and
    client specifications
    .
  • Support
    procurement
    with technical evaluations and vendor clarifications.
  • Provide
    engineering support
    during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
    in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–10 years
    of experience in electrical design/drafting for
    oil & gas or industrial projects
    .
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD
    and
    Dialux
    (for lighting design).
  • Strong understanding of
    electrical systems
    and
    international standards
    .
  • Good communication skills in
    English and Tamil
    , with the ability to coordinate with international clients.
