Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care
  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to physicians and seniors promptly.
  • Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed.
  • Assist doctors during procedures, rounds, and emergencies.
  • Clinical Duties
  • Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and reports.
  • Perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, catheterization, suctioning, nebulization, etc.
  • Ensure infection control and aseptic techniques are followed.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with doctors, consultants, and healthcare team members for holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and attendants on treatment plans, diet, medication, and discharge instructions.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families.
  • Hospital Protocol & Compliance
  • Follow hospital policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure proper documentation and handover during shift changes.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Emergency & Critical Care
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide Basic/Advanced Life Support as required.
  • Handle ICU/OT/ER cases as per assigned department duties.
  • Administrative & Support Duties
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and ensure safe usage.
  • Participate in nursing audits, training, and continuous professional development programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • GNM / B.Sc Nursing (M.Sc Nursing preferred).
  • Registered with State Nursing Council.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience (freshers may also be considered).
  • Knowledge of multispeciality hospital practices and patient care standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
