Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment in the OT.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist in post-operative recovery and stabilization in the ICU.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as per physician orders.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including vital charts and progress notes.
- Ensure infection control protocols and aseptic techniques are strictly followed.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage and handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
- Participate in staff training and continuous professional development programs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate compassionate care at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Registered with State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Cardiac Thoracic OT / Cardiac ICU.
- Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of cardiac monitoring equipment and ventilators.
- Strong understanding of cardiac surgical procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle critical situations with composure.
