The Sales Executive – Solar Solutions is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and closing sales for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to guide customers through the solar adoption process.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
Identify potential customers through cold calling, field visits, referrals, and networking.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and follow up regularly.
Customer Consultation
Conduct site assessments and understand customer energy needs.
Present solar system proposals, financial analysis, and savings estimates.
Sales & Closing
Deliver persuasive product presentations and explain the benefits of solar energy.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details to close sales.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Project Coordination
Work with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Assist customers with documentation, financing options, and approvals if required.
Market & Product Knowledge
Stay informed about solar technologies, market trends, and competitor offerings.
Educate customers on solar incentives, rebates, and government policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in sales (solar or related field preferred).
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them simply.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Comfortable with fieldwork and customer visits.
Basic proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in solar PV sales is a strong plus.
Knowledge of net-metering, solar financing, and ROI calculations.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Compensation
Base salary + commission structure.
Performance-based incentives.
Travel allowance (if applicable).
Work Environment
Field-based with occasional office meetings.
Flexibility to work evenings/weekends if needed for customer visits.
