Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Corporate Lawyer
to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice and support across a variety of corporate matters, including governance, compliance, contracts, litigation coordination, and general corporate transactions. This role requires a proactive legal professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, vet, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Manage litigation matters by coordinating with external advocates, preparing legal briefs, and maintaining effective follow-up.
  • Support corporate transactions, including drafting and reviewing transaction documents and conducting legal research.
  • Monitor and analyze updates in corporate laws, regulations, and notifications to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders and contribute to business decisions with legal insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Compliance, etc.) to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain a legal MIS to track ongoing legal cases, contracts, and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with external lawyers and prepare summaries and briefs for ongoing legal proceedings.
  • Handle any additional legal matters or special projects as assigned by the Legal Counsel or senior management.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    LLB or LLM from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:
    3–4 years of experience in corporate law, either in an in-house legal department or a reputed law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance frameworks, securities regulations, and commercial contracting.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and sound professional judgment.
