Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on employee development, motivation, and retention.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and interviewing to selecting and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Relations: Act as a bridge between management and employees, handling grievances, disputes, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Administer and refine performance appraisal systems to drive high performance and manage compensation and benefits programs.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure the organisation adheres to all labor laws and workplace safety regulations.
- Training and Development: Assess and implement training programs, counselling, and coaching for staff to support business needs.
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Provide decision-making support to management by using HR metrics and reporting on HR performance.
- Policy Development: Design and implement company-wide HR policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication, along with active listening and presentation skills.
- Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team, along with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: The ability to effectively handle and resolve workplace issues, mediate disputes, and make sound decisions.
- Interpersonal & Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical & Data-Driven: The ability to use HR metrics and data to provide strategic insights to management.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term HR strategies that support the company's overall business goals.
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.
- Experience: Proven experience in HR, with at least 2 years in the domain, is generally necessary.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), payroll systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
- Certifications: Professional HR certifications, such as those from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), are often preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment laws and HR best practices is crucial.
