Air Operations Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pricing & Quotations

Prepare and provide accurate and competitive air import pricing to customers and overseas agents.

Competitive procurement skills as per market demand

Liaise with Global Network Agents, carriers, consolidators, CHA, and transporters to obtain best possible rates.

Maintain updated rate sheets and tariffs for key trade lanes wherever possible

  1. Customer Service & Operations

Coordinate with overseas agents for competitive price, shipment bookings, pre-alerts, and documentation.

Handle day-to-day customer inquiries, providing timely updates on shipment status.

Ensure accurate documentation with Airlines for DO, CHA for customs clearance and Transporters for smooth delivery of cargo.

Maintain excellent relationship with Network Agents & Customers

Manage discrepancies, escalations, and resolve operational issues proactively.

  1. Agent & Carrier Coordination

Work closely with global agent network for timely pricing and service commitments.

Follow up with Network partners for booking confirmation, space availability, and uplift.

Track and monitor shipments, ensuring service levels and deadlines are met.

  1. Internal Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate with internal teams (sale/ operations) for seamless execution.

Prepare MIS reports related to import shipments, pricing performance, and customer feedback.

Support in process improvements and maintain compliance with company SOPs.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of airfreight import procedures, Command on Network Agents, documentation, and industry practices.

Proficiency in pricing and negotiation with network agents.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Knowledge of freight forwarding software/ERP systems preferred.
