Job Description
As a Senior Manager Engineering at the India Development Centre (based in Bangalore, India), you will manage all technology related tasks and the day-to-day operations, staffing, and consistent creation of software to enable business needs. You will lead the Centre's development staff to enhance existing systems and fulfill the business needs. You will maintain the appropriate quality of design, development, and documentation, and create a learning organization of developers. You are a leader who has expertise and judgment in working across multiple functional areas within an organization and have previous experience in successfully building, mentoring large software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software development efforts for Enterprise Engineering products including Licensing, Provisioning, Web triggers, from India Software Development center.
• Provide Engineering leadership and direction for Software Development and SDET teams. Partner effectively with cross-functional counterparts in the Product Management, Data Science, UI/UX, Cloud and Support organizations to deliver industry leading features to the market.
• Champion cutting-edge technologies and utilize them effectively to solve complex, enterprise scale problems in the Automation space.
• Focus on consistent delivery of software and systems that move the company towards achieving short and long-term objectives. Implement and continuously iterate on the company's Agile Software Development lifecycle.
• Ensure delivery of high quality software through code reviews, unit tests coverage, automation coverage and metrics/measurements.
• Hire, mentor and retain exceptional talent, and create an environment for them to excel in their career.
• Proven experience in dealing with high profile customers, handling customer demands, and resolving customer issues effectively.
• Bring accountability to the organization by developing OKRs and executing on them flawlessly.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent STEM field, plus a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in a Software Development role preferably for an enterprise scale B2B product/platform/service. Masters degree a plus.
• 2+ years of technical people management experience leading high-performance teams of Architects, Engineers and Managers.
• Experience building and scaling cloud native products for the Enterprise.
• Ability to deep-dive comfortably into technical and design aspects, ask key questions, and facilitate solutions to complex software engineering problems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, responsible and show a high level of critical thinking.
• Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment by deftly navigating and managing change.
• Excellent communication (verbal/written), organizational and interpersonal skills, including communicating successfully across multiple geographical locations and cultures.
• Solid experience interacting directly with large scale customers, and excellent customer management skills.

Nice to have

• Solid working knowledge of object oriented programming using strongly typed languages. Exposure to Java, Spring, Hibernate and related technologies preferable.
• Expertise in Distributed computing, Microservices, RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL and queuing technologies.
• Expertise with cloud computing services (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes-based deployments.
