Job Title: Production Officer Machine Operations (Optical Fiber Manufacturing)

Location: Urse, Pune

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Production Officer with hands-on experience in machine operations for silica preform manufacturing in the optical fiber industry. The role combines responsibility for day-to-day production management along with direct machine handling to ensure smooth operations, quality output, and adherence to process standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machines as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day production activities.
  • Troubleshoot process and production-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure quality compliance by applying process knowledge and best practices.
  • Manage safe and efficient handling of materials, gases, and chemicals.
  • Support cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and productivity.

Job Requirements:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. (Science) or Diploma in Engineering with 25 years of experience in glass/optical fiber manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical deposition, sintering processes, and production systems.
  • Experience in machine operations, process troubleshooting, and material handling.
  • Analytical skills to resolve manufacturing issues and improve output.
  • Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
