The Portfolio Valuations team is seeking a highly qualified individual to join its Product Development function in India. The global Portfolio Valuation Services team is responsible for delivering over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives valuation services to external clients. This role requires expertise in sourcing independent market data and calibrating pricing models to address the complex requirements of client derivative portfolios.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and programming capabilities, a high degree of independence, and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. The position offers an opportunity to apply technical proficiency in OTC derivatives and to contribute to the ongoing development of the Portfolio Valuations business.

Responsibilities:Support for Customer Operations
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Portfolio Valuations products to provide expert guidance on derivative pricing to global Product Services team, supporting daily production of client valuations and resolving complex valuation challenges.
  • Address requests for bespoke or custom valuation solutions by: Interpreting trade term sheets, reviewing applied market dataset, amending trade setups, assigning price bands and modifying proprietary models and valuation methodologies to reflect evolving market conditions.
  • Articulating differences in valuation methodologies for end client consumption.
  • Engage with complex, proprietary financial models and calculations, exercising sound judgment in their application for optimal derivative pricing, and communicating technical details to clients with quantitative and product expertise.
  • Develop tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tasks performed by this team.
Feature Development and Testing
  • Participate actively in the development of new Portfolio Valuations products and features, including the creation of new pricing capabilities, models, enhancement   and related project work.
  • Define requirements for new features for the Software Development team and support the testing of these features for continuous improvement of our offerings.
New Business Support
  • Facilitate pre-sales and client onboarding by providing consultancy on the feasibility of client requests and offering guidance on valuation coverage and related testing.
  • Deliver technical training and support to Sales teams and prospective or existing clients as required.
Training and Continuous Improvement
  • Provide training to colleagues on Portfolio Valuations products and valuation models.
  • Investigate and recommend changes to valuation methodologies to improve model accuracy, pricing, or product coverage.
What We're Looking for:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree; relevant certifications (CFA, FRM) are valued.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in derivatives modeling or pricing.
  • Demonstrates expert-level analytical capabilities, proficiency in programming languages, AI tools, and database management.
  • Candidates with operational backgrounds or without direct experience must demonstrate competency in derivative pricing theory during the interview process, including the ability to solve theoretical questions related to derivatives modeling, pricing, and implementation.
