Urgently Required – Purchase Manager (Food Industry / Grocery Department)

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to lead procurement activities in the food industry. The ideal candidate will handle vendor development, procurement planning, and ensure cost-effective sourcing with uncompromised quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and other procurement needs (domestic & international).
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring timely supply and compliance with national and international quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production & warehouse teams for procurement planning.
  • Negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety norms (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, BRC, US FDA, EU standards) and company procurement policies.
  • Prepare purchase orders, reports, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Track domestic & global market trends and recommend strategies for cost-effective sourcing.
  • Maintain vendor data and follow L1, L2, L3 purchase approval rules.
  • Conduct 2–3 vendor field visits weekly for monitoring and relationship building.
  • Stay updated on international procurement requirements (import/export documentation, labeling, packaging norms, shelf-life compliance).
  • Work with the export department to ensure all procured products meet international supply requirements for destinations such as the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, and other markets.

Skill Requirements

  • Graduate in Science (Food Technology / relevant field).
  • 2–5 years of purchase/procurement experience in the food industry.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, vendor management, costing, and procurement data analysis.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, food ingredients, packaging materials, and supply chain practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel – advanced level required); ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
