As part of our expansion, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead and execute solar projects efficiently at our Khariar Road location.

Position Overview:

The Project Manager – Solar Projects will be responsible for the end-to-end management of solar energy projects, from initial planning and design through to commissioning and handover. This role requires excellent project management skills, team leadership, and a strong understanding of engineering and site execution. Candidates from civil, electrical, or mechanical backgrounds with prior project management experience are suitable for this role.

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with company goals.
• Develop detailed project plans including work schedules, resource allocation, and budget estimation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely project initiation and progress.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Form and lead a multidisciplinary team including engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
• Clearly assign roles, responsibilities, and expectations to all team members.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, resolve challenges, and track milestones.

Monitoring & Progress Tracking

• Monitor project progress on a daily basis and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management.
• Track material movement, manpower utilization, and work completion status.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety norms, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design and safety requirements.
• Maintain complete documentation of drawings, site reports, inspection logs, and project handover reports.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and senior management.
• Address and resolve issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely material supply and service delivery.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets to prevent cost overruns.
• Approve site expenditures in line with project financial targets.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure cost-effective procurement.

Performance Review & Reporting

• Evaluate project performance against key metrics such as timeline, quality, and budget adherence.
• Identify improvement areas for future projects and present findings to management.
• Ensure proper project closure and handover documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in solar energy or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of solar project design, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Excellent knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for dealing with teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

• Certification in Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience with rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects.
• Exposure to government tenders and regulatory approvals related to solar installations.

Working Conditions:

• The position is based full-time at Khariar Road, Odisha.
• Requires frequent visits to project sites for supervision and progress monitoring.
• Occasional travel to vendor or client locations as required.
• Standard working hours with flexibility based on project deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range between ₹30,000 and ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and skill set.
• Additional allowances for travel, accommodation, and site supervision (as per company policy).
