Functional Auditor – Stock Audit

Location: QATAR

Experience: Min 2 yrs

Male candidates preferred

Job Purpose

To conduct functional and stock audits across stores and warehouses, ensuring inventory accuracy, process compliance, loss prevention, and control effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct stock audits at stores and warehouses (cycle count, physical verification, surprise audits).
  • Reconcile physical stock vs system stock (ERP/POS).
  • Identify shrinkage, pilferage, damages, expiry, slow-moving & dead stock.
  • Review GRN, GDN, inter-store transfers, purchase returns, and stock adjustments.
  • Audit store operations including billing, pricing, discounts, and inventory controls.
  • Verify FIFO, batch control, expiry management, and stock storage practices.
  • Check compliance with SOPs, internal controls, and loss prevention policies.
  • Prepare audit reports highlighting variances, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Follow up on closure of audit observations with store and department teams.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management & stock audit procedures
  • Experience with retail ERP / POS systems
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to conduct field/store audits

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
