The Utility Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, detailing, and preparing proposals for utility systems in pharmaceutical and industrial projects. This includes piping layouts, P&ID generation, equipment data sheets, BOQs, and 3D modeling. The role requires strong technical expertise in clean and black utilities, piping design, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Detailing

  • Develop drain layouts and utility system designs (PW, WFI, Boiler, Compressor, Fire Fighting).
  • Prepare detailed proposals and technical documentation as per client data.
  • Design pharma and utility equipment layouts with accurate detailing.

Technical Documentation

  • Prepare technical data sheets for clean & black utility equipment, piping MOC components, and certification.
  • Generate and check P&IDs for plant utilities (Chilled water, Hot water, Compressed Air, LDO, HSD, Nitrogen, Cooling Water) and clean utilities (Purified Water, WFI, Pure Steam).
  • Prepare piping GA drawings, isometrics, valve and instrument data sheets, and piping sheets.

Engineering Calculations

  • Perform pipe sizing and pump sizing calculations.
  • Prepare utility flow diagrams and bills of material (piping and valves).
  • Design conceptual piping based on P&IDs.

3D Modeling & Layout Design

  • Model plant utilities using Cadmatic (3D) software.
  • Design pipe racks and clean utility piping in cleanrooms.
  • Develop tank farm designs for furnace oil & diesel (40 cum) as per CCOE guidelines.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders for approvals and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, and safety standards in utility design.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software (Cadmatic preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of clean & black utilities and pharmaceutical facility design.
  • Ability to prepare BOQs, P&IDs, and perform critical engineering calculations.
  • Good understanding of CCOE guidelines and utility piping standards.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹70,000.00 per month
