MES/OT Developer

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a MES/OT Developer to join our team. A MES/OT (Operational Technology) Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting software solutions that connect manufacturing operations with enterprise systems using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and OT technologies. The role typically involves working with industrial systems, automation devices, and plant floor data to ensure seamless communication and data flow across manufacturing processes.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and deploy MES Full Stack solutions based on manufacturing needs using C#, Java, .Net, Python, Angular or other.
• Integrate MES with OT systems (PLCs, SCADA, sensors) and ensure real-time data exchange.
• Build interfaces for automated data collection from production machinery.
• Customize MES platforms (e.g. Critical Manufacturing, FactoryTalk, Wonderware) to meet operational needs.
• Configure data models, workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for MES and OT integrations.
• Ensure continuous MES operation and optimize system performance.
• Analyze manufacturing data to improve efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Create dashboards and reports for operations management.
• Ensure MES compliance with all applicable standards and apply cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, IT, and business leaders for successful project delivery.
• Document system architecture, configurations, and processes.
• Resolve MES technical issues and implement long-term performance improvements.
• Collaborate with business units to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent MES/OT experience).
• 3–7 years in MES development, OT integration, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with MES platforms (e.g., Opcenter, Wonderware, Critical Manufacturing).
• Skilled in Java, C#, Python, .Net, Angular, SQL, and industrial protocols (OPC, MQTT, Modbus).
• Familiar with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, databases, and cloud tech (SQL Server, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, Industry 4.0, and IIoT.
• Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills in industrial environments.
• Effective communicator with ability to document and train end-users.

• MES-specific certifications (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Critical Manufacturing)
• IT/OT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco Industrial Networking)
• Cybersecurity certifications for OT (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443)
