Lead OT Developer

Our site in Pune, India is seeking a Lead OT Developer.This is a crucial leadership role responsible for guiding a team of contract developers and developing the technical foundation of our smart factories. You will act as the bridge between architectural design and execution, driving the creation of a robust, scalable, and secure software ecosystem for our global manufacturing operations. You will be a technical mentor, a process champion, and a forward thinking innovator, ensuring your team delivers excellence on projects of all sizes. You will own the technical execution start to finish, ensuring the team's output aligns with the architectural vision.

What You'll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a contractor pool of specialized OT developer resources
• Drive agile/scrum processes, manage development backlog, and ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality, tested, and well-documented code
• Partner with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs and actionable development plans
• Champion and enforce best-known methodologies for secure software development (DevSecOps), and technology implementation across the OT landscape
• Continuously research, evaluate, and prototype new features, platforms, and capabilities to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation in development and delivery
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to solve complex manufacturing challenges
• Govern the use of our CI/CD toolchain, including GitHub, Azure DevOps, to maintain code quality and deployment integrity
• Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader surrounding proficient and scalable development within the OT domain
• Oversee the development of robust integrations between plant-level and enterprise systems, including MES, SCADA, ERP, LIMS, and SPC platforms.
• Ensure seamless data flow using industrial protocols

What We Seek:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a significant focus on manufacturing, industrial automation, or IIoT environments
• A proven track record of technical leadership, with demonstrated experience managing development teams or contractors to deliver complex software projects
• Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development, with a deep architectural understanding of both back-end (C#, .NET, Python) and front-end (Angular, React) frameworks, sufficient to lead and mentor a team
• Expert-level proficiency with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Agentic AI/ML development or a history of applying machine learning models to solve manufacturing problems (e.g., predictive maintenance, yield optimization)
• Deep familiarity with the architecture and function of manufacturing systems, including MES (e.g., Critical Manufacturing), SCADA (e.g., Ignition), ERP, and SPC platforms
