  Role Overview Responsibilities encompass supporting worldwide compliance initiatives, streamlining legal operations, enabling effective contract management, assisting in global governance activities, and coordinating recordkeeping and risk remediation efforts. This role emphasizes both partnership and execution, providing critical support and guidance for Gigamon's business activities.   Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, localization, and ongoing improvement of compliance policies, programs, and procedures applicable to Gigamon's global operations, aligning with international regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, execute and monitor risk and compliance frameworks either manually or by using available tools. Strengthen compliance infrastructure through process, metrics and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 31000 and ISO 42001.
  • Facilitate and assist with global training and awareness initiatives for employees and contractors regarding compliance, ethics, anti-bribery/corruption laws, privacy, labor laws, trade controls, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Maintain and organize compliance documentation and records; manage global regulatory filings; support internal audits and responses to regulatory and customer inquiries.
  • Serve as custodian of all group level filings, registers and board governance documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain routine legal documents, templates, policies, and Gigamon legal web resources used internationally.
  • Streamline global legal operations—to ensure efficient, effective legal service delivery—and coordinate internal and external resources as required.
  • Collaborate on special legal and compliance projects involving multinational teams; assist in monitoring, remediating, and reporting emerging legal and compliance risks at a global scale.
    Qualifications and Requisites
  • LL.B. (Indian law degree) and active membership in the relevant Bar Council.
  • Certification in legal operations, compliance and/or privacy preferred,
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably within multinational technology companies or highly regulated industries serving global markets.
  • Proven expertise supporting legal operations and compliance initiatives across international regulatory systems, including privacy, anti-corruption, trade controls, international contracting, and business ethics.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex cross border compliance requirements, corporate governance, legal operations and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones.
  • A self-starter with superior organizational ability, attention to detail, discretion, integrity, and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize numerous competing project initiatives.
  • High degree of professionalism and capacity to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a remote setting with a team largely based overseas.
