ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Engineering group within solutions and technology unit is responsible for product and feature development for both OCP (One Cloud Private) and AXP (Avaya Experience Platform) Private solutions. As a part of the R&D team, you will be involved in design, development, and managing various automation solutions. You would help to develop a scalable and highly robust automation for both infrastructure and orchestration of AXP Private. You will also work in close collaboration with other engineering teams to gather requirements and enable them with new technologies/tools to increase productivity.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and manage orchestration automation tool using Java, Spring Boot, and React
• Design and implement APIs to support engineering teams and to achieve CICD
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision resources in Azure cloud using Terraform and Ansible
• Deploy and upgrade customer environments as needed using automation
• Provide feasibility assessment, technical specifications, and documentation for new features
• Promote and educate your peers on best practices, code quality, and new technologies
• Automate tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Facilitating technical meetings to gather and define requirements
• Design, develop and manage CICD tools using Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) using automation
• Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews
• On-call support for production environments
• Writing technical documentation

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of experience as a full stack engineer or similar role
• Fluent in Java, Spring Boot, and React
• Strong fundamental knowledge of data structures and design patterns
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven experience developing CICD solutions
• Strong scripting skills
• Experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably Azure
• Solid understanding of source control and release management
• Understanding of security best practices
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Must have great attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Programming:

• Java, Spring Boot, React, Groovy
• Terraform, Ansible
• Python, Bash, PowerShell

Database:

• NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB, CosmosDB

Platform:

• At least one cloud provider experience, preferably Azure

Operating Systems:

• RedHat Linux and Windows Server 2019/2022

Productivity Tools:

• Jira, Confluence, Opsgenie
• GitHub, Jenkins, Datadog

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

• A computer science degree
• Certifications are preferred but not mandatory
