Role & responsibilities

1.Non-Litigation and Contract Management: Handle legal matters focused on non-litigation areas, including contract management, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.

  1. Education Sector Compliance: Possess a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for the Public Trust/Education Trust, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws in the Education Sector.

  2. Expertise in Intellectual Property Rights: Provide guidance on intellectual property issues, including trademark, copyright, and other related rights, to protect and manage the Trusts intellectual assets.

  3. Legal Guidance for Charitable Trust: Offer legal insights on laws governing public charitable Trusts, focusing on contract management and intellectual property, to support the Trusts unique operational needs.

  4. Strategic Legal Support: Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement proactive legal strategies that safeguard the organizations interests and ensure regulatory adherence.

  5. Negotiation and Drafting of Legal Agreements: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and reviewing of various legal agreements and contracts to ensure alignment with the Trusts objectives and compliance standards.

  6. Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with other departments to ensure that all business activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience of 10+ years preferably from charitable theinstitutes/ NGOs/ Educational industry

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Law

  • At least 6 years dedicated experience in Legal department addressing legal affairs

  • Excellent communications and drafting skills

  • Self-starter with an ability to own and execute initiatives to the desired objective
