Purchase Manager- Group of Schools

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Commerce/Supply Chain/Business); MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase/procurement roles.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Purchase Orders.
  • Knowledge of school operations and related materials is a plus.
  • Good communication, time management, and MS Excel skills.

Procurement & Purchase Orders

  • Identify purchasing needs across all schools.
  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Ensure proper documentation and PO tracking.

Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for:
  • Stationery
  • Uniforms
  • Furniture
  • School Equipment
  • Printed Materials (brochures, notebooks, etc.)
  • Negotiate best pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and assess performance regularly.

Inventory & Delivery Coordination

  • Ensure timely delivery and distribution to all campuses.
  • Coordinate with stores/admin for inventory monitoring and restocking.
  • Handle returns, replacements, and quality issues promptly.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases.
  • Prepare reports on purchase status, vendor performance, and cost savings.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with internal policies and budget controls.
