We are looking for a Senior SCM Professional To lead sourcing & Procuring Quality materials at the most competitive price as per Quality and regulatory standards within timelines. The position is based out of Ahmedabad.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Purchase of RM/PM for Biologics manufacturing unit

  • Responsible for purchase of R&D and Lab instruments, Buffers, Re-agents
  • Responsible for purchase of RLD samples for clinical R&D
  • Responsible for entering contracts with CRO & Analytical service team.
  • Responsible for negotiations & finalizing AMC & ARC
  • Responsible for the purchase of overall site related OPEX & CAPEX
  • Responsible for Import shipments.

  • Strategic sourcing

  • Key Deliverables:

  • To maintain high standards of negotiation with all technical & commercial comparisons

  • To maintain High OTIF score card.
  • To Project & monitor funds flow on quarterly basis.
  • SAP Implementation at PW/Chicago & India Site.
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement costs.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
  • Should able to handle import shipments in US and experience in logistics.

  • Vendor Evaluation & Strategic Sourcing
  • Automation
  • Monitoring Purchase Order cycle time.
  • Identifying Supplier risks and suggesting corrective actions.

  • Effectively Co-ordinating with all internal & external stake holders like R&D, Mfg, QC, QA, Clinical R&D, Projects, and Engineering

  • Basic Skills Expected :

  • Hands on with MS Excel, Power Point.

  • Awareness of ERP module and SAP

Candidate Details

  2. The candidate should have good communication skills and negotiation skill.
  3. The candidate should have good MS Excel skills and exposure to ERP/ SAP.
