  • Assist in the selection and procurement of merchandise that meets the company's quality and profitability standards
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the merchandise landscape
  • Collaborate with senior buyers to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, adjusting orders as necessary to optimize stock
  • Prepare reports on merchandise performance and provide insights to enhance purchasing strategies
  • Participate in seasonal planning and merchandising strategies to ensure alignment with brand goals

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field
  • 1 years of experience in retail or merchandising, preferably in a buying or purchasing role
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data analysis
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with inventory management systems and merchandise planning software
  • Familiarity with market trends and consumer preferences in the retail industry

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with retail management software and ERP systems
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • A passion for retail and a keen eye for trends and styles

Job Type: Full-time
