Job Profile - Communication Manager Persistency / Renewal Line of Business (LOB)

Designation & Grade - Manager / Senior Manager

Position Type (New / Replacement) - Replacement

Salary Range - As per company norms

Job Location - Goregaon - HO

Reporting Authority - (Designation + Function) - AVP business retention

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage the communication for Persistency / Renewal LOB
  • Manage and oversee all communications related to the Persistency / Renewal LOB, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Possess a strong understanding of renewal processes and time-to-market requirements for digital communications
  • Monitor system-generated as well as manual communications to ensure timely follow-up and maximize NOP (Number of Policies) collection
  • Analyze and interpret data cohorts related to the renewal LOB; proficiency in SAS or similar analytical tools is preferred
  • Understand the customer lifecycle in life insurance and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and function heads to review and align ongoing communication initiatives
  • Redraft or create new communication content to address identified gaps and enhance customer engagement
  • Develop communication messages and manage the approval process with stakeholders such as Process Owners, Marketing, and Compliance teams
  • Stay updated on industry trends and perform regular benchmarking to ensure communications remain competitive and effective
  • Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), coordinate with stakeholders for development, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and track activities through end-to-end implementation

Interfaces - Internal - All teams in Operations Interfaces

External - Within RNLIC BIU, Branches & Sales Outside RNLIC Call center vendors, and technology vendors

Key Performance Indicators Skills & Competencies : -

  • Strong grasp of renewal communication workflows in the insurance sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in digital communication management and customer lifecycle strategies
  • Analytical mindset with experience in datadriven communication planning
  • Knowledge of Insurance is Must
  • Experience of data analysis is Must - MS office (Word, PPT & Excel) knowledge is Must
  • Self-Motivated - Good communication skills, and knowledge of impact analysis
  • Good at coordinating with different teams

Qualification Requirement: (Min. Education, Certifications etc.)

  • Graduate is Must, MBA preferred
  • Certification of Lean, Six Sigma preferred

Relevant Work-experience Required: -

  • Minimum 2 years of Life Insurance
  • Experience of communication management is Must
  • Experience of Renewal Persistency management preferred

Language Proficiency: English & Hindi

Any additional Requirement for the positions - Ability to maneuver in a high demanding environment
