Job Summary

The Junior Accountant supports the finance and accounting department in managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records. This role ensures compliance with accounting principles and company policies while assisting in budgeting, auditing, and financial analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify accuracy of financial data.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice preparation and payments.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and financial records.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Help prepare tax returns, GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and track company expenses and prepare reports for management.
  • Support the senior accountant and finance manager in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates with strong knowledge may also apply).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

  • Office-based position in a professional finance or corporate environment.
  • Requires working with deadlines, reports, and data entry tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18, ₹25,000.00 per month
