ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to lead the digital content strategy for our news platform. In this role, you will lead a creative team to deliver impactful, timely, and engaging storytelling across platforms. Primarily responsibility of creating and managing content, including conceptualizing, writing, editing, and publishing posts that align with the brand's voice and editorial goals. You will also be responsible for managing content calendars, driving audience engagement, and maintaining brand consistency in line with political, news, and current affairs narratives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends, colour and design principles, and audience behavior across platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

− Create and publish engaging content in Hindi for social media, including captions, scripts, and short-form stories.

− Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with editorial goals and brand.

− Oversee daily operations of news writers, video editors, and graphic designers.

− Ensure video editors deliver impactful, clear, and visually strong explainers.

− Support designers in producing compelling, on-brand visuals for youth audiences.

− Manage posting schedules across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, etc).

− Track analytics and audience insights to optimize content strategies.

− Stay updated on current affairs, political trends, and digital media innovations.

− Drive collaboration across teams to ensure quality outputs and timely delivery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

− Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.

− 1–5 years of experience in social media management, Content Writing preferably in the news, journalism, or media industry.

− Strong understanding of content, colour, design, and political narratives in digital media. − Excellent command over Hindi and English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.

− Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
