Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Executive to manage the billing and invoicing process for our laboratory services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating accurate invoices, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with billing policies. This role requires coordination with sales teams, operations teams, phlebotomists, and patients to facilitate smooth billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Invoicing:

Generate and process invoices for lab tests and services.

Ensure accurate pricing, discounts, and taxes are applied to invoices.

Verify and reconcile billing data with patient records and lab reports.

Payment Processing & Collections:

Track outstanding payments and follow up with clients for timely payments.

Process various payment modes (cash, card, online transfers, insurance claims).

Address billing discrepancies and resolve payment-related issues.

Coordination & Communication:

Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate test details in invoices.

Coordinate with clients in healthcare and other industries, as well as third-party payers, to ensure a smooth billing process.

Respond to patient and client inquiries regarding billing concerns.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and billing reports.

Ensure compliance with company policies, clients guidelines, and healthcare regulations.

Assist in audits and financial reconciliations related to billing.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate periodic billing reports for management review.

Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Support in budgeting and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in billing, accounts, or finance, preferably in a healthcare or diagnostic lab setting.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of billing procedures and accounting principles.

Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with healthcare insurance claims and reimbursements.

Knowledge of medical billing codes and industry regulations.

Familiarity with lab management software (LIMS) or hospital billing systems.
