Etp Supervisor

Job Summary

The ETP & STP Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, and compliance of Effluent and Sewage Treatment Plants. The role demands technical expertise, leadership, and a proactive approach to ensure environmental standards are met and plant performance is optimized.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

• Supervise daily operations of ETP and STP systems.
• Monitor treatment processes, chemical dosing, and equipment performance.
• Ensure proper functioning of pumps, blowers, filters, and other machinery.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs and replacements.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment servicing and breakdowns.
• Maintain Spare parts of machinery and servicing of spare parts, and ensure its readiness to use in times of emergency

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to CPCB/SPCB environmental norms.
• Maintain and submit accurate logs of influent/effluent parameters.
• Support audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Monitor stock levels of chemicals and spare parts.
• Initiate procurement requests to avoid operational delays.

Leadership & Soft Skills

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate a team of operators and technicians.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Communication

• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports to management and regulatory authorities.
• Resolve conflicts and provide constructive feedback.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

• Analyze operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Make informed decisions under pressure, especially during emergencies.

Adaptability & Initiative

• Stay updated with latest treatment technologies and environmental regulations.
• Proactively identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.

Training & Development

• Conduct regular training sessions on SOPs, safety, and emergency protocols.
• Mentor junior staff and promote skill development.

Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in ETP/STP operations and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and environmental compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office and report preparation.
• Familiarity with Automation systems and meters (preferred).

Working Conditions

• Plant-based role with exposure to chemicals and machinery.
• May require shift work and availability during emergencis
