Role Overview

As the RI Operations Manager / Senior Manager, you will steer the endtoend fiduciary, cash accounting, and operational functions of reinsurance accounts. Youll lead a sizeable team, ensure execution of highcomplexity tasks with accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance, and act as a key interface with internal and external stakeholders. Youll be responsible for driving process improvements, optimizing resource utilization, and delivering client value through strong metrics and performance discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 24 Team Managers and oversee 40–60 reinsurance account handlers.
  • Own endtoend fiduciary & cash accounting operations for reinsurance accounts.
  • Ensure receivables, payables, remittances, reconciliations, and compliance are met with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Track and deliver against KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and financial metrics.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and innovative solutions to resolve operational challenges.
  • Manage portfolio of markets/clients, resolving broker/client issues, maintaining exposures within limits.
  • Stakeholder management: partner with onshore leadership, crossfunctional teams, clients, and markets.
  • Oversee migrations, change initiatives, and system/process rollouts.
  • Own SOPs, exception handling, resource optimization, and team utilization.
  • Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and develop talent; manage performance and succession.
  • Monitor risk, compliance, and operational controls to prevent breaches or errors.
  • Advise on technical reinsurance / insurance terms, contract clauses, market practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years in Insurance / Reinsurance operations, with 5+ years in leadership/management roles.
  • Deep knowledge of fiduciary processes, cash accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in change management, system migrations, process reengineering.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, teams, and large volumes of work simultaneously.
  • Clientfacing experience in reinsurance or related domain.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Commerce, Finance, Insurance, or equivalent).
  • Certifications (desirable): CII, III
