A Social Media Optimization (SMO) Executive is responsible for managing and enhancing a company's online presence, brand visibility, and engagement across various social media platforms. They implement strategies to maximize reach, engage audiences through compelling content, and monitor trends to optimize social media profiles, ultimately contributing to digital marketing and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SMO strategies to increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and website traffic from social channels.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media platform algorithms, best practices, and emerging technologies.

2. Content Management and Creation

  • Create, curate, and manage engaging and high-quality content (text, images, videos, and multimedia) tailored for specific social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube).
  • Develop and maintain a detailed social media content calendar and scheduling system.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, marketing goals, and current social media trends.
  • Optimize social media profiles (biographies, cover photos, pinned posts) for maximum impact and SEO.

3. Engagement and Community Management

  • Monitor all social media channels and actively engage with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Nurture and grow the online community, fostering positive interactions and brand loyalty.
  • Identify and engage with key influencers and brand advocates.

4. Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (KPIs) such as reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, website traffic, and conversions.
  • Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite/Buffer) to interpret data and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular performance reports to the marketing team and stakeholders.

5. Advertising and Campaigns

  • Assist in the planning, creation, and monitoring of paid social media advertising campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram promotions) to achieve specific marketing objectives (e.g., lead generation, sales).
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to integrate SMO efforts with SEO, email marketing, and overall digital campaigns.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: Proven work experience as an SMO Executive, Social Media Specialist, or a similar role in digital marketing.
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience managing major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTubeetc.).
  • Content Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong copywriting and editing abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
  • Proficiency with social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of content creation/graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for visual content and compelling narratives.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
