Position Title: Accountant / Senior Accountant (Title can be finalized based on experience)

Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation, ledgers, vouchers, and supporting schedules for audits and reviews.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the company and related entities, as applicable.
  • Handle TDS compliance end-to-end, including deduction, challan payments, return filing, and reconciliation with Form 26Q / 24Q.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities for notices, assessments, and reconciliations, when required.
  • Support compliance with other statutory obligations as applicable (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, etc.).

Payroll & Employee Compliance

  • Manage payroll processing, including salary preparation, deductions, reimbursements, and monthly payroll closures.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll requirements, timely deposit of dues, and accurate record maintenance.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding/offboarding data, F&F settlements, and payroll-related queries.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support internal and statutory audits, including preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accounting policies, and internal control frameworks.
  • Identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Tax Planning & Advisory Support

  • Provide inputs and guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize tax liability while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assist management with financial analysis, projections, and compliance-related decision support.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory regulations relevant to the business.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting, Taxation (IT & TDS), Payroll, and Statutory Compliance
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and Excel
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage timelines and work independently
  • Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in corporate accounting or professional services setup preferred
