Job Description: L2 Network Engineer

(Cisco Switching / NOC / Data Center – Immediate Joiner)

Position: Network Engineer – L2

Location: Chembur

Experience: 2+ years

Budget: 4.5 LPA to 5.5 LPA

Qualification: BE/BTech (Electronics/Telecom/CS/IT), MCA, MSc-IT/CS

Key Responsibilities:

· Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco L1/L2 switches.

· Manage VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, port security, and Layer-2 operations.

· Handle STP, DHCP support, WLAN connectivity, and AP configurations.

· Perform OFC/UTP cabling, patching, labeling, and physical checks.

· Monitor network health (NMS/SNMP/syslogs) and resolve L1/L2 issues.

· Support data center/NOC activities including maintenance and hardware checks.

· Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and configuration backups.

· Coordinate with ISPs/vendors for issue resolution and RMA processes.

Required Skills

· Strong Cisco L1/L2 switching knowledge

· VLAN, STP, DHCP, WLAN, OFC handling

· NOC/Data Center experience

· Solid troubleshooting and network tool proficiency

· Good documentation and SOP adherence

Preferred Certifications

· CCNA / CCNP (preferred)
