Our client is seeking a dynamic and accomplished
Principal
to join their Financial Services practice in India. This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape and grow a high-impact practice area at the forefront of industry transformation.

As Principal, you will lead strategic engagements with top-tier banking clients, drive business development, and act as a thought leader in shaping their presence in the Indian financial services market. You'll bring a deep understanding of the banking ecosystem—retail, commercial, payments, risk, digital, or regulatory—and a strong network of industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and expand the
    Financial Services practice in India
    , with a primary focus on
    banking clients
    .
  • Lead high-impact strategy consulting engagements, delivering actionable, data-driven insights and transformative solutions.
  • Drive
    business development
    by identifying growth opportunities, leading proposal efforts, and strengthening client relationships.
  • Bring domain expertise across
    retail and commercial banking, digital transformation, risk management, payments
    , and
    regulatory change
    .
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends and innovations in banking and financial services.
  • Mentor internal teams, contributing to capability-building and domain upskilling.

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE 10+ years
    of experience in
    Strategy consulting,
    focused on banking, or financial services with a track record of delivering
    strategy projects in the banking sector
    .
  • Proven track record of leading Digital Transformation consulting engagements and delivering results for banking clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain C-level relationships and drive business development.
  • You will need to be comfortable with both Corporate strategy & Technology strategy.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 business school
    (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc.) is required.
