Stock Analyst

STOCK ANALYST-JD AND QUALIFICATION

Inventory Monitoring & Analysis

Track and analyze inventory levels, trends, and discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Implement inventory control methods such as ABC analysis, EOQ, and FIFO/FEFO strategies.

Forecast demand and optimize stock levels to avoid overstocking and stock outs.

Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory; coordinate clearance activities upon management approval.

Perform price comparisons and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective procurement.

Reporting & Dashboards

Prepare and present regular inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support data-driven management decisions.

Conduct variance analyses and monitor inventory performance against operational targets.

Cross-functional Coordination

Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance, warehouse, and operations teams to streamline supply chain processes.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery and replenishment of inventory.

Audits & Controls

Execute periodic audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity and compliance.

Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, SOPs, and risk mitigation strategies.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or inventory management courses).

Technical Skills

Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, forecasting).

Experience with BI tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies: ABC analysis, EOQ, FIFO, FEFO, safety stock, and demand planning.

Analytical & Reporting Skills

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills for inventory forecasting and variance analysis.

Ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.

Skilled in preparing and presenting reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management.

Business & Communication Skills

Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Experience working with procurement, finance, sales, and warehouse teams.

Capable of negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships.

Operational & Compliance Knowledge

Knowledge of inventory auditing, cycle counting, and compliance standards.

Ability to develop and implement inventory control procedures and risk mitigation plans.
