Key Responsibilities
  

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes for structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and BI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks, validations, and exception handling.
  • Perform ETL performance tuning and troubleshoot issues in production.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation.
  • Work with large datasets across multiple sources and destinations.
  • Ensure ETL pipelines adhere to best practices, security, and governance.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to standards and guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in ETL design and development.
  • Strong SQL programming (complex queries, optimization, stored procedures).
  • Expertise in at least one ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Pentaho, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing (star/snowflake schema, indexing, partitioning).
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Python/Java/Scala for data transformations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
  

  • Exposure to big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift/Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration (Airflow, Control-M, Step Functions).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
